In less than two decades, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University has blossomed into a multi-disciplinary, multi-campus centre that offers over 150+ undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in Biotechnology, Engineering, Business, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Journalism, Information Technology, Arts and Sciences, Health Sciences, Education, Microbiology, Hospital Management, Visual Media Studies, Communication, Social Work, Nanosciences, Molecular Medicine and Ayurveda. Based on evaluation of all campuses and programs by a peer review committee, the university has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade. Today, Amrita has a student population of over 16000 and faculty strength of 2000, including over 300 faculty members with Ph.D. / DM qualifications. CONFERENCE
BIOQUEST 2013 will provide an ideal forum to discuss exciting and emerging multidisciplinary themes related to the use of biotechnology in addressing pertinent societal needs. The conference will focus on the ways in which research areas such as translational medicine, nanotechnology, neuroscience, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics and bioengineering contribute to alleviating human suffering and improving the quality of life. This conference, which is being hosted by the Amrita School of Biotechnology, will serve as an ideal platform for distinguished experts from diverse areas of biotechnology to come together, share and exchange ideas.
