The Pre-Conference Workshop on Biotechnology and Translational Medicine will consists of a series of talks and discussion by a panel of distinguished scientists and clinicians in the fields of Biotechnology, Nano-biotechnology, Molecular Medicine, and Pharmaceutics. These prominent scientists will offer an in-depth and critical view of the opportunities and challenges for translating research outcomes arising from the fast-paced growth of Biotechnology over the past decade. The discussion sessions will include four thematic areas each of which will consist of a keynote overview meant to highlight opportunities and challenges for translation followed by bullet talks by panelists in sub areas of specialty within the main theme.

Amrita School of Biotechnology and Amrita Centre for Nanosciences & Molecular Medicine are jointly hosting the Pre-Conference Workshop on Biotechnology and Translational Medicine.The workshop will be held on August 10, 2013 at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS), one of India's leading interdisciplinary establishments of health care and research.  AIMS, situated in Kochi, Kerala has pioneered the development of nanomedicines, implants, medical devices, and created newavenues in personalized medicine.  The institute hosts one of the finest multidisciplinary research centers in India, focusing on Biomaterials, Clinical medicine, Molecular medicine, and Regenerative Medicine, with processing and characterization facilities that are coupled to Amrita's super-specialty hospital to facilitate translation.
